When approaching the architecture for building a web application, traditionally a design pattern like Model - View - Controller might be used to construct the core components and then an API might be added on top of the core later, as a module. However another way at looking at the architecture of a web application is to build the API first, then use that as the core of the application. There are many advantages to this besides the obvious one of not having to write an API module later.
Andrew is the co-founder and technical brains behind Eventarc. He is a
16 year veteran of the web industry, having worked as a lead developer
and consultant for many of Australia’s top 100 companies during this
time.
In 2004 Andrew and a mate took the plunge into the world of small
business, setting up what is now a successful mid size web development
agency, Hugeobject. Aside from being a director of Eventarc, Andrew has oversight
of all aspects of the technical and creative direction of Eventarc.
Any leftover time is spent petitioning colleagues to un-ban Tom Waits
from the stereo.
To avoid being labeled a true geek Andrew spends his time outside work
away from the computer, enjoying baseball, cheese and playing with his
son and daughter.
